Terms of service
Effective August 25, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and 399apps for use of our accounting, GST, billing and inventory apps. By creating an organisation, or by paying for an app, you accept them.
1. Who we are
399apps ("we", "us") provides the online accounting, GST, billing and inventory apps reached at 399apps.com. "You" means the organisation that signs up and the people it invites. You can reach us any time at [email protected].
2. Your account
The person who creates the organisation is its owner and is responsible for everything done under it, including by the members they invite. Keep your sign-in credentials to yourself, use a password you do not reuse elsewhere, and tell us straight away if you think someone else has got in.
3. Your data stays yours
The business records you enter — customers, vendors, invoices, payments, stock — remain yours. We hold and process them only to run the service for you, and we do not sell them. You can export everything as JSON, or delete the organisation outright, from Settings at any time. How we handle personal data is set out in our privacy policy.
4. Acceptable use
Do not use the service for anything illegal, do not resell or sublicense access to it, do not scrape it or drive automated traffic at it, and do not try to reach another organisation's data or degrade the service for anyone else. Uploading malware, or content you have no right to store, is prohibited too.
5. Fees, taxes and billing
Each app is charged per organisation at the price shown on the billing page when you buy it, plus applicable taxes. A monthly subscription bills every month; an annual subscription bills once a year at a discount to twelve monthly payments. Both renew automatically until you cancel. If a payment fails we retry it and email you, and if it keeps failing the subscription lapses and the app is locked until a payment succeeds.
6. Suspension and closure
We may suspend or close an organisation that does not pay, or that breaks the acceptable-use rules above. Where we close an account for abuse or illegal use, no refund is due. Where an account lapses for non-payment, your data stays available for a reasonable period so you can pay and resume, or export it.
7. Service provided as-is
The service is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or lost data. Whatever the claim, our total liability to you is capped at the amount you paid us in the twelve months before it arose. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
8. Availability
We work hard to keep the service up, but availability is best-effort: there is no service-level agreement, no uptime guarantee, and no guaranteed support response time. Planned maintenance and unplanned outages both happen, and we will tell you what we can, as soon as we can.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service changes. Where a change materially affects you, we will email the organisation owner before it takes effect. Carrying on with the service after that date means you accept the updated terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Chennai, Tamil Nadu have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising under them.
